Substance Abuse Evaluation
A Substance Abuse Evaluation is used to ascertain the degree that an individual is suffering from substance use or addiction and the need for treatment. The individual receives a diagnostic evaluation, a substance use screening using the Individual Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI-4) or other appropriate screening tool, and treatment recommendations. The Substance Abuse Evaluation is conducted by a licensed professional, a Resident or Supervisee under the direct supervision of a licensed professional, or a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).
Substance Abuse Counseling
Individual substance abuse counseling with a licensed professional, a Resident or Supervisee under the direct supervision of a licensed professional, or a CSAC following a Substance Abuse Evaluation. The licensed professional, Resident or Supervisee, or CSAC will meet with the individual for 8-10 sessions.
Substance Abuse Education Group Classes
Services provided by a CSAC, designed to provide education and support to adolescents who have limitations due to their drug or alcohol use or addiction. NOTE: 1st time offenders (3 sessions) and 2nd time offenders (12 sessions).
